A frequent speaker at industry gatherings, Mark served two terms as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) and was awarded the NAPFA "Distinguished Service Award," given each year to the individual deemed to have made the most significant contribution to the financial services industry.
Mark is a 1989 graduate of the Master of Science in Financial Services program at the American College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. He is a nationally recognized expert in financial planning, appearing in numerous publications, including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, USA Today, Newsweek, Fortune, US News & World Report, Kiplinger Personal Finance, Worth and Money Magazine, as well as on national television and radio shows, such as CNN and The Nightly Business Report.
Mark is a member of the Seattle Yacht Club and is an avid boater. He is a bicyclist and world traveler, enjoys cooking and cooking classes.
Luann Renfrow joined The Spangler Group in 2003 and brings an operational and client service background to the Group. Prior to joining The Spangler Group, Luann worked in the health care industry. She was Owner/President of a Colorado-based consulting firm that specialized in physician practice management and had roles of VP of Client Service and EVP and COO in a Seattle physician service company. She was vice-president of a hospital software development company and internal auditor of a large community hospital. Luann attended Minot State College in North Dakota, enjoys boating, swimming, reading, travel, Yacht Club activities, and time with her friends and family.
